AMR New Version

Introduction
The purpose of the document is to provide upgrade instruction to all dealers that are using
AMR version 1.4.0.3 and below. The latest version of the application will be 1.5.0.0 and
the application name has changed to “AMR MyKad Controller”. Please follow the step
by step instructions below to upgrade your AMR to latest version 1.5.0.0.


Step 1
Please click on the Check Updates link as shown below Figure 1 to download the latest
version.

Once you click the Check Updates link, the below window will be displayed.

Click on the “Check for updates now” button to confirm if any updates found. If updates
found the following window message will be displayed and continue to click OK button
to download the latest AMR version 1.5.0.0.

Once you finished download the AMR latest version, you will see the following window
message ask you to re-start AMR. You can now exit AMR and re-start AMR to check if
you are running the latest version 1.5.0.0 as shown in Step 2.

If you have not upgraded to latest version 1.5.0.0, you would encounter the following
error message in the View Log link as shown below Figure 2.

The error code 2 is indicating that you did not enter the serial number of the MyKad
device in the AMR Setting, however you will need the latest AMR version 1.5.0.0 to
enter the serial number of the MyKad device.

Step 2
Once you successful download AMR version 1.5.0.0, you will see the following window
displayed instead of the old registration screen shown in Step 1.

Enter the serial number of the MyKad device
Click the Setting button to enter the standard AMR setting as shown in the following
figure.

You can now enter the serial number of the MyKad device which usually located at the
bottom of the device with a silver sticker. The serial number will start with something
“AU000….”. Click the Save button to save the setting and go back to AMR MyKad
Controller main windows.
Hotlink Registration
To registration Hotlink as usual, click the Hotlink Registration button and you should
see the famous AMR Hotlink Registration windows as per previous version.

You notice the Setting and Check Updates links have now moved to AMR MyKad
Controller main windows as Check Update button and Setting button, only View Log
link is maintained in this windows.
